About UsThe National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), is a nonprofit organization that is owned and managed by its members. With more than 30,000 members around the world, NSBE is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. Founded in 1975, NSBE now includes more than 394 College, Pre-College and Technical Professional/Alumni chapters in the US and abroad, with its World Headquarters in Alexandria, VA. These chapters are divided into six geographical regions. With programs meant to assist students at the pre-college, collegiate and alumni level, NSBE has accomplished more for the black engineering community than any other organization in the world. The new and innovative project ideas are generated and implemented throughout the year on the chapter, regional and national levels.
Mission Statement: NSBE’s national mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community." |
